In the Russian technical State University, create the quantum computer.

The Novosibirsk State Technical University works on creation of quantum systems of information processing, or the quantum computer. The innovation will allow to protect reliably data from breaking and unauthorized access.

If to invent such computer to us, it will endanger information security of our country. So it is a problem of the state importance.

Together with NGTU 7 Russian organizations, including 3 higher education institutions work on creation of the quantum computer. Among them – branch institute of the Rosatom company. According to scientists, the research project of such scale is implemented in Russia for the first time.

Besides information security, the quantum computer can be used in logistics. For example, on the railroad. The device will allow to optimize the movement in actual scale. It is promoted by information processing speed. If the ordinary heavy-duty computer processes 10-15 elements in 4 months, then the quantum computer copes with this problem of everything in 10 minutes.

Key element of the quantum computer is the so-called qubit instead of usual bit which is used by modern computers. It functions at a temperature, near absolute to zero.

To realize and investigate such qubits, the corresponding equipment is necessary. Such equipment very expensive, is available in terms of the research and educational organizations of Russia.
